Great stuff ,, I think some prop guards needed though..the balance is nice,,surprisingly,
Gosh good point , or swam of bees and he has to use hands --then who's flying this thing ,Um birdstrike might hurt a bit lolI was thinking about this the other day, specifically, manned quadcopters and why we really dont see them. The tech exists. And I came to this conclusion: both helicopters and planes CAN land unpowered, but in a quadcopter, if the power fails, it drops. As cool as they are, would you really want to fly one??
Perhaps parachutes are the answer. There would need to a minimum altitude maintained by the craft at which the parachute would function properly in an emergency, but it seems plausible. To me it seems incredibly awesome. Maybe 5 years out but that's ok. Gives me time to save up LOLI was thinking about this the other day, specifically, manned quadcopters and why we really dont see them. The tech exists. Several Light Sport Aircrafts ( ie Pipestral Alpha )that my instructor used has a recovery chute fitted as an optional extra. The firing cartridge need to be replaced if unused after a certain time !IF it used a parachute emergency deploy parachute system IT would have to be the same kind that powered hang gliders use and small home built gyros ect....Its a frame mounted mortar tube that shoots a parachute up in the air...to bring the craft and pilot down safely even at low altitudes !
Absolutely brilliant well done!!!!Great stuff ,, I think some prop guards needed though..the balance is nice,,surprisingly,
