there are a couple of options if you want VR, the cheap plastic glasses that you put the phone into are a good start, you can use Litchi in VR mode or CAVU app, there is a video below showing CAVU and the goggles, after that there is only the DJI Goggles.

if you have the P3A or P3P or P4 etc you need to fit a HDMI adaptor to the rear of the controller to use the DJI goggles, you dont need this if you use the Mavic.

any goggles such as the fat shark with a HDMI input can be used with the quads listed above, or any of the cheaper goggles as long as they support HDMI input

Is this a good way to overcome glare on my iPad monitor?

definately, yes, it covers the eyes and lets you just see the camera output

Thanks! Does it also show what's on my iPad monitor, apps displays or just the camera feed?

If you use the hdmi option then it mirrors the app, apps such and CAVU and Litchi have their own display

Remember that using FPV goggles is not the same as having a drone within eyesight. You need to have someone spot for you while in FPV.
