[Update Jan 2019 ] firmware 1.9.2 < 1.5.7

So I bought a phantom 3 standard .
Magic power 5.3 - 27db ( US region set ) I'm in UK
ArGtek atenna mod.

I kept getting signal lost issues
When I kept clicking the center bit on dji app.
It kept coming swapping between strong interference. Even though I'm out on countryside.

I took it further out the country and still got interfrence flashing on the app.

Today I downgraded to 1.5.7 and it instantly solved it .


Test 1 - 1.9.2 interfernce ( 4600 feet )

Test 2 - 1.9.2 interference ( 3800 feet )
Test 3 - 1.9.2 interference ( 1000 feet ) built up area.

Test 4 1.5.7 no interference ( 3600feet)

As I found mixed reviews on best firmware.

Wow that's pretty good for p3s,you must have good eyes for that line of sight
Impressed my p3s is good for 1km before it packs a sad and comes home

No.. theres a website with all firmware. I went straight from 1.9.2. To 1.5.7

Put it on the SD card. Put in drone . And boot it up . =)

I didnt find any point after going to 1.5.7

It seemed to make the drone drift .. when going forward. Even after calabrations...


My signil interfrence was non exsistant though

I find DJI likes the throttle back video feed and induce more NFZ's in new firmwares. I NEVER update FW or software. When it comes to DJI products, legacy apps and FW puts you head and shoulders above the next drone pilot who doesn't know any better.

What fw do you use ?

For my P4P, I use v1.3.509. This is coupled with a legacy version of the Go 4 app; v4.0.8, which is coupled with legacy iOS versions (12.x). Everybody and everything wants to update, update, update all the GD time. You get your bird running perfectly then here comes an update from Apple which cascades to an update for the Go and Go 4 apps which forces a FW update and on and on. This is pure insanity. To me, this is like watching monkeys f*** a barrel. A much better plan is to get everything working, and the LEAVE it. I have followed this plan since I started using DJI products in 2014 and couldn't be happier with that decision. ALL my birds are rock-solid reliable.

Hate to spark an old topic but this is my exact situation. Like aggressive drift. Any fix that you found for it!?

I'm sorry but I don't catch exactly what you are trying to say.. Do you mean that there is no point to go any further from 1.5.7 like 1.9.20 due the drone will drift OR there is no point to do any backwards from 1.9.20 to 1.5.7 due the drone will start to drift?

Edit: I'm asking due I'm on 1.7.9 and I'm so tired of drifting to one side..
