I think the wind helped, not sure by how much. I do know you can fly way faster (by at least 25% from my own experience) in ATTI mode compare to GPS mode.

I flew my P3P out a little over a third of a mile and at one point it was registering 53. It always seemed to be doing a minimum of 40.

Max reported speed for my P3S is a hair under 40MPH, to date.

You sure about miles ? That would convert to about 100km/h.....

My recorded max speed was 62.28 km/h on P3S , but I never aimed for speed -it was accidental rather.

My unit records in MPH and it recorded 53 MPH the other day. I get 45 on a regular basis in GPS mode.

The wind was definitely what was pushing the p3 to those speeds. On a calm day there is no way p3 will reach anything past 35mph, whether in atti or GPS mode!!!

Not true. I reach 43 on a regular basis on a calm day and that is going in both directions by the way. In ATTI mode it is even faster even according to DJI since it doesn't have to adjust for the GPS. If yours only goes 35 max there is a problem with it. With carbon fiber props a few miles per hour more can be squeezed out.
