I had a short flight around the neighborhood with a FLIR ONE attached to my Phantom 3 Pro. It looks maybe not very impressive to you, but for my usecase i'm more than happy with the result.
Ok. Here we go. It's still not the mother of all thermal drones, but it works fine now.

no, i was not able to get a live stream from the thermal cam with the current setup, but that wasn't the goal anyway. The camera is the FLIR ONE, it costs approx. 250 $. There are some APPS available which will turn the FLIR CAM into a webcam, therefore there should be a way to get a also a thermal live stream. The other possibility would be to film the screen of the attached mobile phone with the default cam [emoji3] not very sophisticated but it should work.
The camera itself was worth the money for its own. very fast charged (<30 min) and the battery lasts for 60 min. (it is not USB powered).
good idea... teamviewer quicksupport for android allows to mirror the phone screen....
some pictures from the cam; a glass of water filled with ice cubes beside a candle (with various filter options):

just checked the screen mirroring with teamviewer. I've had some trouble to connect from phone to phone but phone to notebook worked perfect without any delays. Means I have a live cam now. Thanks a lot![]()
