Try the method in the video below. You don't have to be running DJI GO, the Apple compass app, etc. when doing this.

I stayed up Late and arose with the Crows. Now it's nearly noon hour.
Still nothing updated on the Eastern front? I thought it would only be mere hours. This has been an inordinate amount of time, waiting with my anticipatory self, all eager like a hungry Canadian beaver.
Wow @dji certainly updated their web pages though. Very nice, indeed.
It all looks marvelous. Very clean and tidy.
But what about the new firmware, and when is the Go app going to get some new additions? ;-)
I can wait. . . And I do, and will.

If you bookmarked the "old" downloads page, it's no longer there due to the site re-design this week. Go out to DJI.com, and navigate to P3A/P3P downloads. For example, the new link to P3A downloads is:

All I got after the upgrade on my P3P was super loud beeping from all over the bird, from multiple speakers. Now what...
DJI might be waiting for an IOS app update to go live or for a las minute critical bug to get fixed... DJI told Beta testers before they ended the Beta Test that the firmware was going to be released on Nov 19 and indeed it did but only for a few seconds... So something must have happened that made them pull the firmware back....
Good grief, I will continue to wait it out, happily.
But for those who can't wait. . . Go to it.

I tried to update my Phantom 3 Pro, but the update doesn't start.
Tried two different micro sd cards and nothing.
Formatted the card, copy and paste the latest firmware.
Insert the card back in the gimbal. Turn on the Phantom.
I hear D-DD once, and that's it. The Gimbal light stays solid green.
The rear arm LED's blink fast, yellow. Nothing else happens.?
Any ideas or suggestions?
This is the first time my updates failed to begin.
Edit:
I was told to try AGAIN after 6:00pm MST.
Apparently, there has been a mistake, and the bin file is actually empty. ;-)
No wonder it wouldn't update.
