Suitable Notebook for P4

I think I asked this question before but appear to have lost the response.

I first tried out my P4 with an iPhone 6S and it was fine but the screen was a bit small.

I then tried my old iPad mini and it worked fine but during flying the screen display keeps breaking up for a few seconds and then recovering although the downloaded video and film footage is fine when taking it off the P4

Is this because the old iPad mini is not suitable i.e does not have enough horse power? and I need a more up to date model or does anyone think that the problem is unrelated or can recommend a different notebook.

All my laptops and phones have been Apple so I would like to stick with them.

Ipad mini4 with cellular, it is the best IMHO.
You want the best when flying, good screen size, and no freezing or the app shutting down mid flight, so that is my choice.
PS I normally run a mile from Apple and IOS, but this is the best solution.

If you have asked before, and got answers, why not go to your profile and look for messages from you, you should find the whole thread you started

You obviously have an idea that the ipad mini 1 you tried isnt any good, and the iphone has too small a screen. There is info from dji that has a lit of suitable apple products, or just search here for the many threads about which is better, what should i buy, will this run it etc etc

I get fed up of people asking the same question over and over when a simple search of this forum will give all the results you want

Btw asking the same question in different parts of the forum doesnt help

I would def stick with Apple as they work much better with DJI Go. I have an ipad air that works great but will be getting the new ipad pro when they come out.

We exist to share our knowledge not to ***** about people posting in the wrong place, or checking their profile etc.

But he keeps posting the same question, how is he going to learn if all he does is ask questions again and again

Theres a door in front of me, what do i do now, i know ill ask the same question on forums and see what answers i get

Ive no problems with helping, but the best help is find it yourself, go back through this forum and see how many times the same questions are asked, what ipad, android or ipad, what height can i fly, do i need to update and my favourite, ive crashed and lost these from my landing legs, where can i get them from.....................

It does sometimes worry me if some people should habe a drone

All i was saying was he posted in march, asking the same question, then yesterday in the p4 and p4pro forums
How many post have you seen regarding which mini to get, how many have given good information time and time again to this question and how many refer them to the dji list of recomended devices
If you want know something, do a search, if after a while you still cant find it then ask a question.....


Btw i have ipad mini 2 cellular, mini 4 wifi and a mini 4 cellular, they all work great with go, i did the research and use the 4's mainly as the app gets bigger, you need the better machine to cope with it, the 2 is mainly for litchi vue

A LOT can change since march in the technology world. Maybe the guy was just wanting to know as OF THIS MOMENT what is out there RIGHT NOW that is working the best with the latest DJI Go updates. What may have been the best device a few months to a year ago may not be the best now so past postings just might be irrelevant.

You have wasted more time bitching about the guy then it would have taken to just give him a little advice.

PS- Maybe the pornstach has deprived your brain of oxygen and made you this way....just sayin

Likewise just googling to find a product that does not work as per the question asked is not helpfull at all (prop balancer)

Giving advice saying android and go dont work well together doesnt help, many people run android with no problems, the cause is due to the different specs of android and the need to really close the app before opening the other, most people dont know how to do this

Point taken, not offended, just not very adept at navigating the site will get better with practise. Thanks for the advice, wasn't aware that a Mini Ipad4 pro was coming out but will investigate. Cheers

Thanks all for the advice, will just have to check out the bank balance. Not obvious at first sight that to get the best out of the drone you need to spend about an extra 1/3 of the price on the notebook etc.
It seems that to use the track-follow feature the Mini iPad needs to have cellular as we as WiFi ?

AFAIK there isnt a ipad mini 4 pro coming out, it si the best at the moment, its fits the holder with no modifcations, has enough processing power for the apps, you dont need lots of memory as the video is stored on the micro sd card, you dont even need it to be cellular, unless you want the drone to follow you in litchi, then the gps is needed, the screen is brighter, its lighter, the only critisism is that its a tighter fit in the foam case ;-)

please search before asking, even the daftest questions have probably been asked before, its just, if every one asks the same question over and over the forum will get that big no one will be able to find anything. Also if you ask something, chose the correct sub group, start you header with the drone type (Phantom 4), if its app based please add IOS or ANDROID and then a short statement about what it is you are asking

Read and comment , its amazing how much information everyone has and even a little goes a long way
