I've searched and watched videos and I still can't figure out how to get this done using a P3P with an iPhone 7. Can someone give me the basic steps or point me to a tutorial? TIA!!

Try to enable video captioning.

Awesome thank you! I saw that method listed but looked forever and couldn't find the setting.

I tried it out but it didn't seem to work. The videos still don't have any info on them.

Make sure that the generated .srt files are in the same folder as the main video files.

Ahhh that's what those were!! What do I need to do to merge them together?
