Should I update?

Was wondering if I should update my P3P or my controller. Am I missing out on new features? I know that there is that new GEO fencing which I want to avoid.

First ask your self "how is the bird flying now?" If the answer is great, you might want to consider leaving well enough alone. That's what I've done. Others will tell you (with good reason) keeping everything up to date is the way to go. I've not done recent updates because everything is stable and I don't want to be hampered by the latest geofencing in the Go app. Ask 100 people and I'll bet the vote would be pretty evenly split.

For the most part it's been flying pretty good. I've only have signal issues once or twice. I was just curious if I was missing out on some important features on newer versions.

From my reading, I would definitely not update the Phantom firmware right now.

Version 1.10 for the aircraft seems to be causing major problems. See this thread here

Downgrade the Go app to 3.1.1 or below. 3.1.2 has a serious bug in placing you 2 miles wnw of where you are.
