This nonsense needs to stop.
Shooting at a UAV with the intent to destroy/maim should be treated no differently than shooting at a plane or helicopter. Throw them in FPMITA prison, revoke their right to own guns, scan their PCs for kiddie porn (after all if they engage in this type of behavior they're probably a nutcase anyway!), etc.
You get the idea.
