WRONG .... Do a search and you'll find the videos all over YouTube. I just watched about 6 videos. One of them was from a kid that is using it to shoot video of his motocross jumps.

The P2V+ was just announce yesterday. So how all of sudden can their be so many home videos about it?
People need to remember unless you are made of money you need to factor in resale price of your P2V then the purchase price of a P2V+. Assuming a generous 0.66 of new price for your mint P2V you'll have $800 towards your $1350 shipped P2V+, meaning it will cost you $550 to "upgrade". This gives you a 3 axis gimbal-cum-camera unit that looks at the moment tied into the P2V+ airframe. If you are happy to tie into that airframe and hit a camera upgrade dead-end then that's a good move for you.
If you feel you may want to upgrade aircraft and camera at some point in the future then an airframe-agnostic gimbal (with 3rd axis option) with various camera mounts will cost less now, and much less in the future. Something for everyone - hence why DJI are still making and selling the Vision. Whatever you choose, enjoy it. Aaaand back to discussion about the Rotorpixel... (or for some of you, constantly telling us how glad you are you didn't buy the Rotorpixel or cancelled ages ago.

Some places are reducing the price of their stock of p2v in response to this. I got an email this AM from uavdirect.com in Texas saying they were reducing their price to $999 until they are gone. This could drive the resale price down further.

Pull_Up... You have been my Yoda when it comes to my Phantom, but I hate to say this bud... I'm going over to the dark side on this one... The Vision + IS A BETTER UAS, PERIOD! You have a RotorPixel Gimbal, so you know about the 16 min flight times... Sure its for the Vision only, but that's the whole point of RTF... The DIY kits or addons that can be jury-riged to work on something else is not the direction DJI wanted to go (my opinion) with the "Vision Series"... We all agree the the Phantom 2 Series is a great, easy to use means of performing aerial photography along with flat out fun by just flying around... For those with or without a GoPro, the Vision + solves many distance issues some had along with providing smooth 1080P video... The best comparison will be a stock P2V vs a stock P2V+... there's a $100 price difference... For those of us who spent $1200 + on these, plus batteries, plus case, etc... What's a $100 if I will get great smooth video and FPV at 2000 ft AND a 25 minute flight time to boot...

Everyone is bragging about the extra distance, this is just for the range extender. If your Vision + (aircraft) loses range and returns home at 1,000 feet, the extra FPV really doesn't matter unless you increase the range of the aircraft. I see nothing in the specs that implies the aircraft has any additional range, just the wifi Range Extender that is communication between the gimbal/camera and the wifi.
Be interesting to see how it pans out. The PV+ gimbal is lighter, but can I use filters easily on the repackaged FC200? And if I add that weight, will the PV+ gimbal cope?

The online specs for the p2v plus say CE Compliance: 400m; FCC Compliance: 800m as apposed to CE: 300m; FCC: 500m for p2v.
We should move this discussion to the appropriate forum
I hope they'll make this an upgrade for current Vision owners ...purchase a new camera with gimbal, with a trade in on the old camera. Assuming the 2.4 ghz antenna is still on the camera in the plus. Ive got a RP coming, my Vision is a month old yesterday. I'm still happy with what I've got, especially if Keri comes thru on the third axis upgrade.

The FCC id is now displayed on the aircraft rather than the camera. Perhaps the wifi radio is now in the same place as the gimbal controller. Antennas are now 2dbi as apposed to 1 dbi. I wonder if they're still circular polarized. They could increase the dbi easier with linear patch antennas.

I am just hoping I will get it before may.
#1 for my birth day
#2 I have a trip to Bethlehem PA to do a job there and see a good friend and show off my P2V (hopefully) with the Roto-pixel gimbal.
I really want to get some good shots of the Sands casino and the stacks.
but it is kinda doubtful my order number is 983 :-(
at least I hope I will have the latest in advancements.
