I've always tried to return anything valuable I find. If someone puts a phone number or email address and I find it they're getting it back and I'm not accepting a reward. I can only hope if someone finds a Phantom I lose I'd get the same consideration. But a threatening and essentially worthless statement like that would annoy me. I wouldn't keep it, but I'd certainly be inclined to just leave it there.
That's just me

I had a similar reaction when I first saw that sticker but it's not really without basis. Finders-keepers is pretty much what we all "learned" growing up but legally it's not accurate. If you find something, even if you find it on your own property, it's not simply yours to keep, especially if a "reasonable effort" would reveal its owner. Further, you are not allowed to harm it either.jondrew said:Wow "Avoid Prosecution" ? If I saw that I'd smash it with a rock.
... essentially worthless statement like that would annoy me ...

But you do have to be flying within their safety guidelines for it to kick in. So it's not quite a "get out jail free" card. And it's secondary to whatever other insurance you might have, e.g., your homeowner's insurance. Still, it's very inexpensive secondary insurance ... and you get their magazine.d4ddyo said:AMA offers liability insurance to their members.Fredski said:I've identified mine in a similar way - name, phone, email, + $50 reward offer.
