Return to home does not work

my phantom 3 advanced does not return home automatically. Why? I press the button on the remote control, but instead of returning the phantom lands

It is set to Land instead of RTH in the Pilot app. Check the manual for details.

you're right. I have tested . Does the rth only when the distance is at least 20 m

Yes - I think the number I've seen referenced numerous times is 60 meters - i.e., if it's that close to you when the RTH function is executed, it will land where it is instead of returning home.

Does this apply to Phantom 4 also? Have not had the chance to try in open field yet. Still in backyard practicing, to scared to try above lake.. lol

From my experience, the same rules apply as the P3 series. Don't be scared of the water........follow some basic rules and you'll find it is more fun than flying over the neighbour's paddock.
