Range on phantom 3 new user .

Hey guys and girls =) , and 3 legged donkeys.

I recently purchased a phantom 3 standard.

It came with the argtek range extender .

2 flaps and 1 long atenna in center.

I have also done the magic power trick

My range isnt the best

Was wondering if theirs any other tips or tricks I can do to get the best out of the drone.

I will start here just on the word Range.
#1 Remote to Phantom, Phantom wants to RTH.
#2 Phantom to Remote, You can fly-it but you loose video.
#3 Phantom to Remote, You can fly-it but you loose video and telemetry.
#4 Your Mobile device says no WiFi signal or you are not connected to the internet.
#5 What is the range that you are getting.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Just going over the drone now before testing the things you asked for . I'm trying to re link the controller to the drone. As some people have said a simple re link helps with stuff .

However I cannot find the link button on the drone itself. It seems to be missing . ( see pictures )

Any ideas ? Or come across something like this before ? .

When I switch the drone on .. there is a red light where the button should be.. which turns green when controller is on... =/ just nothing to press .

I found it once battery is out..
How does one push it .... ? If the battery needs to be in to power the drone =/ ?

Now I'm really confused, I will watch the video, and I don't see the link light hole, on a P3S the light and the button are in the same hole.

Yes I'm confused too. All them seem to have link hole on side. However mine seems to be inside ( see the picture with yellow circle )

Hum, bottom shell is not a P3S.

P3A, P3P link is in a different place and that is why there is a rectangle whole bottom of the shell.
Where the VPS would get its wires from and mount to the small screw holes.

How would you recommend me being able to link it with remote again ?

The camera looks to be for a P3S. The sd card slot is in the camera lens housing.

I guess you need to drill a hole in the shell where you would normally poke it with small pin, I thought the light and switch were mounted on the main board.
Anyways normally the light and switch are kind of combined to be one unit. I really don't know what has been done, could be the light and switch off a P3A, etc.

I think someone has replaced the bottom shell with a P3P shell. You gotta get the link button out where you can press it with a battery installed.

Wouldn't know mate, I'll try drill small hole .

It's not an issue anyways ... I just wanted to relink maybe it will help . With range or video feed

My issue is the sage I get is not very good (1000ft with argtek mod ) . Just trying to work out why. Or tips .

I used magic power too. Andnive read about FCc mode. But no way to tell what mode it's in.

Yeah, I got a little sidetracked on this thread, you can do it with the App.

You can use the s1 switch on remote to toggle re link to drone .

But it's just the button inside that says you need to press once its initiated
