Radio Controller charging iPad.

My p4p radio controller seems to be charging my iPad. Is there anyway to stop that from happening?

The iPad shows it's charging. It's not charging because it's not able to -- even though the iPad thinks it is.

I think I understand... It's like trying to charge an iPad using an iPhone charger (the old type) that can't pump out enough current to really increase the battery state (but the iPad still shows the charge 'bolt').

Well I get all that. But my iPad stays at 100% and my RC is at 80% after two flights. So it's charging.

If it really is charging, there is no way to prevent that from occurring.

That would explain why my P3 controller goes for more flights between charges than my P4P controller.

Ok but what about an iPhone? The iPad requires a bigger charger the iPhone doesn't.

Just tested. Definitely charges it. Was at 96% start of flight. After flight and disconnecting it, 99%.

It is absolutely maintaining if not charging my iPad Air 2. Screen at max and it hasn't dropped a % in 10 minutes.

Has anyone received any feedback about this issue yet? I assume they designed the RC to charge the screen for the P4P+ so we all get the same thing. I do know I hate it. Much easier to charge ipad then controller. I believe I saw a post on the DJI forum where they were denying it was charging.

It charges my iPhone 6 Plus. I always have more battery on my phone after my flight that I did before!

I don't mind it at all in fact I kind a like that if I'm flying through three or four batteries it's nice not to worry about the phone crapping out. The controller itself can handle it no problem.
