Does it need to go to a certified dealer for repair?

It doesn't need to, but DJI might void your warranty if you ever attempt to send it in for a warranty repair for damage caused by unauthorized repair work.

These were taken in the house obviously but same message when outside.

If they where taken in side the house you will get a week signal. You should take it outside and try
