Wonder if I should return it with the extra battery and I have a tradecraft case that I can't return. And I just bought fpvlr antennas. Don't have them yet. I hate this. Never thought they would have a new version this soon.
from past history with DJI if they say April, it probably means August.Big Chips said:well this is good to hear...just wish we had specs now... i just took delivery of my PV2 today and currently 3d printing a gimble for it....so I am not going to open the box yet and just wait to see the specs on the new PV2+....prolly going to be returning this one....I have 30 days.
The way I see it if it is just a gimble and the price is $200 more...I will keep what I have...if the camera is better and wifi range is better...this one i have is going back...
please post more info when you have it..

Light Bridge is too expensive for an upgraded Vision. Besides that, the 5.8 is proven and the technology has already paid for itself many time over. If the vision+ is new concept, then they will have to keep it under 2k. There are more and more choices on the market every day. I personally, would buy a newer vision if and when it is available depending on the upgrades. With all the gripes about DJI, they do build a good quad. 2 cents is all I have today.DKDarkness said:Pull_Up said:If they scrap the 5.8 then any new camera won't be backwards compatible and they'll have to drop the whole wifi to smartphone app concept. That is actually a really reasonable thought![]()

I have this theory that DJI probably thought they were going to give us a good camera with the P2V but when it came down to it they could not make a good one. It takes a lot of expertise to make a good camera, even the gopro with their huge R&D budget is not that good. From what I can gather, the Sony RX100 comes closest to a low end DSLR in terms of quality whilst also being light weight so my preference would be for DJI to provide a gimballed platform and some way of providing FPV using an existing camera from a specialist manufacturer.
