P4P+ wifi on RC, on or off?

While flying my P4P+ I get a message that my cellphone wi-fi is causing interference, change freq or turn off.
What does that mean? Turn off wifi on RC? Is it necessary to have wifi turned on? Been flying with it off...

Sounds like you updated AC and RC. Many have experienced this message after updating RC as of 6/8 update.

But its ok to fly without wifi on connected to my home network? When im at remote location without wifi it can be off right?
