P4P Prop Hubs

Just unboxed the new P4P. Love it.
I thought I had read absolutely everything on this forum to prepare for the arrival but I got a nice surprise.
The prop hubs are different to the P4!! How did I miss that???
Now I want to change my P4 hubs to the P4P hubs. For those that don't have the P4P, there is a retaining circular spring on the shaft instead of those stupid fandanggled spring arms that take some looking after.
The P4P props are the same but they fit much more easily and snug due to the better retaining arrangement.
Has anybody retrofitted a P4 with these new hubs??

Strange nobody reported this before; this is really a great enhancement with hope retrofit is possible (I always remember when I lost a blade at take off)

My question in this context is whether DJI has discovered weaknesses with the "old" supports. I have not read about cases where the old DJI has failed.

When I searched for these new support being provided by Phantom 4 Pro. I found alternative mounts in aluminum intended for DJI 4 Standard. Is there anyone who has tested these? Something tells me that the original nylon mounts will break off and will save the motor you have an accident

Seller writes that they are CNC made, which I thought seems unlikely based on the images displayed on E-bay. The price does not stand in relation to the CNC machining. Link your These mounts

These are good questions already discussed in this forum.
Quick summary from memory:

- known in flight blade losses but rare

- general opinion is more blade mount/unmount more metal fatigue (also some saying better to always remove blades after flight session to avoid permanent spring metal pressure but less likely accordingly metal 'specialists')

- pilot error/lack of checking when mounting blade (I have lost a blade during take off despite checking but probably not enough)

- With my P4 I have found 1 or 2 metal springs lower than usual position, I had to bend them a bit

- nylon base certainly cheaper than cnc but works great and no failure reported as far I know and possible fuse role

- screws loose dues to incorrect screw torque or lack of loctite especially if user replaced nylon base

- I'm not suprised for such DJI enhancement since existence of discussions named 'spring metal fatigue'

I just changed all the prop hubs on my P4 (springs were already very weak and bending them did very little). However, if I had known about the new ones I wouldn't have hesitated to switch to them. Unfortunately I haven't seen them sold as spear parts.

DJI confirmed there have been some changes to the quick release mounts and those are not yet available as spare in DJI store for P4P (new product) unless some dealer got them.

Wow this is interesting. So how do these hold the new props on without the upward pressure of the retaining spring?

Oh ok! I thought those were threads. This is interesting to see an improvement on the quick detachment design.

Yeah the new spring system is definitely better it feels more secure... the problem is you cannot find these New parts anywhere DJI still has to get these out to dealers

I can foresee case where someone has a P4P and looking for prop kit replacement; no other choice than order current kit that will fit perfectly .. but sort of regression till new 'V2' available !?

I suppose the other thing is money. When they become available, every P4 owner is going to fit these new hubs. It's a no brainer. Anyone want to guess the math?
