P4 Gimbal Roll?

I just noticed an interesting issue with my P4. When I take off my P4 gimbal is tilted a little to the left. When I yaw 180 degrees the gimbal is still tilted, but in the opposite direction.

How does this make any sense? Basically the gimbal is always tilted but it going in an elliptical pattern?

Also when I manually adjust gimbal roll it kind of resets itself in a few seconds.

I'd really like to avoid sending it to DJI. I did it twice on my P3 and was without it for 2 months

It makes sense as gimbal is trying to maintain the cam level/ tilt. That's in a way a good sign that gimbal controls are working correctly. You have basically a roll offset. Try to calibrate gimbal on a level led surface.

How do you calibrate the gimbal?

Set it on a level surface, go into your settings on the DJI app and under the camera section you'll see a button for gimbal calibration. Mine had this same issue and that fixed it for me.
