Hi. I'm in the UK. I recently bottled out at 2 miles and brought it back with no signal issues experienced. Stock out of the box.

Wow that range is awesome. Did you fly it without much interference? Or was it in a fairly built up area?

I'm in the UK and get 2'500m stock in a very congested (wifi noisy) location.
Never had less than 2000m anywhere, that's a long way line of sight!

All depends on signal and noise, since the CE laws have lower radio output on devices, means there may also be less noise as well (and not traveling as far) so for things like the Phantom this can be even better in built up areas since things like routers inside have a lower range penetrating walls

In EU have had 4.5km out and back no issues, fully stock setup. Probably would have gone more.

Yep, as others have said the P3P and P3A are the same machine with the exception that the P3P has a better image processor board and can do 4K and 10mb/s downlink where the P3A can only do 2.7K and 2mb/s downlink. Both use the same lightbridge hardware which seems to be better then the updated P4. FCC an CE mode just varies the channels and output depending on location. The one different unit is the Japan version which uses 900mhz frequency instead. The lightbridge on the P3P/A line is why they are such a good deal. The P3S doesn't have this and the P3-4K seems to have a more crippled version of Lightbridge.

P3A here in Sweden (unmodified CE equipment).

1,5 km is no problems, 2 km will require decent conditions, 3 km is definitely pushing the envelope.

My max distance is 3 km in a rural area at 200 meters and with clear line of sight (although with several power lines and cell phone masts below). I started to lose the video feed at 2.7 km (red warnings and rapidly increasing bursts of video glitches and dropouts).

In open field in EU I went 1700 m without any problem, having full signal and then came back. So you definitely wont have any problem regarding CE distance. I was asking myself the same question before purchase.

Buy it and dont look back Only if you need better FPV quality on the phone/tablet buy Professional, it has 10 mbit vs 2 mbit on Advanced. But it also looks perfect on Advanced. 4K video is overkill for now.
