on the P 4 How do you down grade the remote's version to an earleir one

Ron, you started a PM session with me, if you keep pressing through various means, you'll end up with multiple advice and will end up very confused, as you probably are already.

That firmware works fine for most.

Have you tried as discussed resetting your bird to factory default and re-flashing it?

Have you checked your cable?

Have you tried re-pairing your bird and remote?

Just trying to help here, but you seem very confused....

i'm running all the latest updates and firmware on my P4 using a ipad mini2 latest update as well and everything works really sweet, try checking what Dinerve mentioned above

Ok Dinerve this is what i have done.
1. i tried anther cable no help
2. hooked up the assistant to the bird everything said it was ok but reinstalled firm ware again on the bird.
3. never had any problems until this update, is there a sequence to install???
4. how do you reset to factory???
5. everything works fine for about 45 sec video is great then goes away
ok please help me

1.8 at least halved my range with my P4 , downgraded back to 1.6 and all is back to normal.

how did you down grade?

make sure the usb cable is connected to the remote and your device and remote powered up.

On the main GO screen before you choose camera , on the top right there is an icon (like a hat ?" ,
touch it for about 5 seconds or so then let go , it should then open another screen with Firmware (controller) to choose version downgrade ,

make sure you are connected to the internet when you do this to allow the firmware to download ,

allow it to download then choose the upgrade/downgrade , your remote will beep during the process with a progress display ,

(do not power down while beeping) it might take a few mins and sometimes looks stuck at 99%
but leave alone and it will finish , once reported 100% and the beeps stop , power down controller and then power back up the controller.

Factory reset is available in DJI Assistant 2 App when the bird is connected to it and on, I don't remember where exactly but quite easy to find.

I hadn't realised it worked for about a minute, that makes it even more odd...

I just rolled it back to the last firm ware
