Night flying tips?

I would like to take my p3s for a night flight. Any tips or suggestions are welcome as I haven't done this before. I feel confident in my flying ability. Any gear I need? is there any way I'll be able to see through the camera?

(I will bring a headlamp to mark my position in the dark)

Don't risk night time flying when it's pitch black. Bad things happen

better to fly at night due it 90 percent of time easier to see bird also screen and any aircraft

fun at night only go out around 3000 feet buzz the neighborhood

Turn off aircraft front red lights. It'll create red halo effect and reduce picture quality. Try keep still for a while before and after taking pictures, since it may involve long exposures. Survey the area in daylight before flying at night. Fly only in calm weather at night as you will only rely on rth and gps. Finally, keep calm while using rth at night, the aircraft may drift. Last thing you want to do is taking over controls in the opposite direction.
