Knowing that many Phantom Pilots also use Mavic products, Florida Drone Supply will be online here to help with questions about the new products, pre-order and orders depending on availability.
Mavoc 2 zoom.... Correct me if im wrong, but the zoom seems pointless as it is digital. Can't that just be done in post to get the same effect?Knowing that many Phantom Pilots also use Mavic products, Florida Drone Supply will be online here to help with questions about the new products, pre-order and orders depending on availability.
Can't decide between the two versions.... HELP....

Let me know when you gwt them in. I have a family friend ready to buy. I told him to wait until this new mavic announcement came out. We would both love to swing by and see one in action. The specs say Optical Zoom, which will be a big improvement vs doing it in post and loosing some resolution. Time will tell how it behaves and we look forward to testing it.

So...MP2 has either zoom with the old 4K sensor or a new 10bit 1" sensor camera.
Also, the MP2Pro has 10bit...what does the P4P run? 8 or 10 bit (I figure it's 8 as DJI doesn't talk about it with the P4P)?
No mention of a mechanical shutter has been made.
I guess that (very likely) means the P5P will have zoom AND a mechanical shutter with 2.8 lens option (hopefully combined!).
I also assume the P4P still is very quite comparable even with 18 months of development under the new Mavic's belt.
I see a huge improvement in the gimbal mount. Looks like the little rubber hangers are gone.Images provided by Blade Strike DJI Enterprise Support

The P4P is 8-bit only so 10-bit would be an improvement. However, since the bit-rate is the same at 100Mbps something would have to give at 10-bit versus 8-bit -- the Maths require it

One test that I have not seen done anywhere yet that would be helpful to me is taking the identical dng image and short 4k clip with the pro and the zoom at 48mm (with no digital).
I would like to then crop the pro's imagery to match the zoom at 48mm and compare the results.
If you guys have opportunity to do that when you get yours, it would be appreciated!![]()
