Nice we got few mountains but that is huge

Seattle will certainly get some ash on the day Mt. Rainier blows again.

But in respect to mud flows and possibly magma, well, let's just say that it sucks to live in Tacoma.

Still, be sure to catch some footage of the flow before you get on the (stand-still) freeway.

Really interesting shots, especially of the cloud formation right over it. You need to take a road trip and try to get that closer up. Maybe go the night before and shoot the sunrise coming up through that unique cloud over the mountain. That might be spectacular. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, those lenticulars look even better without 60 miles of atmosphere between. Also, the Phantom lens is very wide angle.

However, drones aren't allowed in the national park, so you need to launch from some road that runs in the hills before the park boundaries. That could be a logging road (many of which are gated these days, unfortunately) or a road to a park location, but you pull over before you get to the actual park.

Here's a time-lapse I shot earlier this month (non-drone) from about 10 miles outside the park. However, this was at about 65mm on a full-frame camera, so a wide-angle show will still diminish the size of the mountain. But it will be a lot bigger than shots taken from 50 miles away in Seattle.

10-4 on the park restrictions. Wow, nice timelapse. I now recall the name of the lenticulars from the Part-107 exam. Don't tell FAA I already forgot the name of them...lol... Very cool looking.
