Left stick down during flight...will props stop?

To land I usually push down on left stick slowly. Once my P4 is on the ground I keep holding down until the props stop. My question is, what would happen if I hold down the left stick (say if I needed to land quickly) while 300' up? Would the props stop mid flight?

A CSC is the only stick command that will stop the props mid-flight.

You can hold them down all the way, the bird will control the max rate of descent, I do it all the time.

I think the best way to drop altitude quickly is all the way down on the left stick with a slight horizontal travel, this ensures clean air and you should never get in a VRS situation.
