The wires inside of my drone are both black. I just put the red wire to the top because it's the way the terminal connection fits on properly with the wire arrangement coming off to the side of the drone.

Hmmm. They must have changed it at one point or another because mine is for sure red. I double checked as I typed that.

I guess the day they built my drone they must have ran out of red wire.
