I Pad 2 mini dim display

Okay been flying a while with this issue..open outdoor sun hardly readable, sunshade ok but it has been better. My brightness settinngs on my ipad mini 2 up full..appreciate any tips on this issue fellow pilots. Thanks.

Unfortunately the Mini 2 isn't very good in the sun. The Mini 4 and iPad Air 2 are much better. Try finding a shady spot to fly from, this also helps with overheating which sometimes occurs flying in direct sunlight.

I use a mini 2 as well. I found that the Hoodman HAV 1 sun shade helps a lot.

Going to throw another one in the mix here.

I was having the same issue, the Hoodman helped massively, however the EV setting on my camera was on -3 or close to it.

It is now on 0 picture brightness on iPad mini 2 is now excellent.

No problem. If you are still having a problem, Hoodman makes an extension to the basic hood to totally block out the sun, but I doubt that you would need it.
