Holiday in Tenerife, Canary Islands - no problem with drone

Just a quick message to anyone thinking of bringing a drone to Tenerife, do it! No problem with security and airline staff seemed to be aware of drones and drone security. Amazing scenery and only wish I could have got out more, a bit of wind this time of year so was restricted. Need to download all the photos and videos now...

Yes that is correct it is a part of Spain (although don't say that to a local Canarian!). They laws are tough but if you are responsible you'll be fine

Yes, locals of Tenerife (or any Canary island) are called 'Canarians' and hate being classed as Spanish. The feeling is that the majority want to be an independent state there. They are much closer to Africa than Spain anyway.

Hi!

Are you sure there's no problem in Tenerife with a drone as an hobbyst? I'm planning to take my Mavic in Tenerife next two weeks but I have read around that it's not permitted and someone had got very big problem flying it around Teide National Park.

Can someone help or explain how regulations in Tenerife work? Can I fly my drone 120m high and 70m far by me or not?
