FAA Study Guide & Test??

Serously, someone help me understand why No. 5 isn't 1,548.

Can you be a little more vague please? What practice test? Link? Something?

No idea. I didn't write the test. Just sharing a link to a practice test that was developed very early in the 107 process rollout. Not to be a terd.

Some of the answers aren't practical, like telling you to use the maintenance information from the manufacturer, which largely don't exist. The test was written by a bunch of inspectors used to traditional aviation and they seem to have fallen back on what they knew sometimes without being aware of some key differences.

My opinion only: The FAA will never, ever get in between a pilot and the manufacturer of the vehicle they're using (regarding recommended maintenance). It opens them up way too much for litigation.

Agreed and wasn't suggesting otherwise. What they do with other aircraft is to establish standards and outcomes that the manufacturer must meet and then they hold the manufacturer, pilots and mechanics to those standards. They don't necessarily say you need an oil change every 3,500 miles, but they say you must have a 100 hour inspection when using the aircraft for commercial purposes and that inspection must contain these items for the aircraft to stay airworthy.
