ESC error message

I just replaced a motor after a crash. Now when I try to start the motors I get an ESC Error message that tells me to restart the drone. I have don this several times and get the same message. Help!

Usually when a motor goes bad, it's actually the ESC that's bad. Could that be?

Possibly, but the other motors were working. What exactly is ESC?

Electronic Speed Control.....controls the current sent to the motor. Sounds as if yours may have been damaged in the crash. Bad news is, it's part of the main board, and not individually replaceable.

No - you can replace that board

Make sure you get the correct board as there are two types one for the for the 2312 motors one for the newer 2312A motors. They are not interchangeable!

I heard the ESC stuff was expensive in the P3's.

Btw, I wont talk about it here but tDJI has something scheduled for Tuesday the 15th at 2:30pm eastern. But I'm pretty sure it's say we'll now have the Inspire2 and P4 Pro.
