Eclipse Photos

I'm working on my drone video and pictures, but wanted to share a couple of photos from my DSLR. Flame for posting non-phantom photos, I just wanted to share.

Wow! Great shots.
What equipment did you use? (Camera, lens, filter?)

I considered doing eclipse shots with my DSLR but don't have a filter and didn't want to damage my equipment.

I used a Nikon D500 with 200-500 AF- S Nikkor Lens and TC-14E III teleconverter. For the corona shots, I did not use a filter. When the sun was exposed, I used a Lee 100x100 mm Eclipse Filter in a Lee Holder. The pictures of the shadow moving across the sun are kinda of boring. But, honestly, as I looked through the viewfinder at first totality, my breath was literally taken away. I think these photos probably rank as my all time favorite at this time. I've been shooting for 32 years, and I felt like a little kid when I saw these.

Wow! Those photos are the best I have seen so far of the eclipse. Those are professional results you should be extremely proud of. And to have achieved those results with only high end amateur equipment is all the more impressive. I love the incredible prominences, and corona. Simply awesome.

I agree with flyboy - best I've seen of eclipse.

I have a D750 and the same lens and TC. Only had 75% where I live.

I traveled from Salt Lake City to a spot about 90 miles west of Idaho Falls where the center of totality would cross a road. I brought 5 cameras -- 2 for stills and 3 for video. This clip was shot in 4K using a Panasonic G85.
