Or any "accessory" pricing. Don't get me started on the dummies that drop $100 on a super-duper-gold-plated HDMI cable because it says Monster on it.

Nothing bad to say about their gold plated HDMI cables - because its digital, you can be sure that for you they perform exactly the same way as the El Cheapos, while for them, they return a lot more. And since you now have another way to show off your affluence, it's a win-win☺

Again, you US location posters, the OP is in Australia. Maybe prices there are a bit different. Also, the higher price paid for local access should the card turn out to be bad might be a benefit over buying on Amazon or online elsewhere. The OP mentioned that aspect.
