You must be using one hell of a crappy device then.....Well, if I stuck to 1 to 2 minute flights, maybe GO would be an option. But since it freezes after only 2 minutes or so, really not an option for me.

There is your problem.... I have a Mini 4, iPhone 6+ and Air 2 and never had a single glitch to complain about when running GO... But yeah now that i read this more carefully, This bug should not affect you much... according to litchi...Galaxy S5. And it runs Litchi 100% solid as well as every OTHER app I have run on it EXCEPT GO.
True enough. It SHOULD work just fine. The S5 should run GO just fine. Other less capable devices have and are being used. Anyway, don't want to derail the thread into a device discussion.
Litchi is saying there isn't any problems with RTH with there app. I haven't ever lost signal so I can't say one way or the other .Needs to be a lost signal, not a button press.
I just used Lichie in a flight that lost signal for three minutes and it flew the entire mission with no problems. So everyone using Litchi these past 6 months or so have never lost signal? Because according to Autopilot, the drone won't come back until critical battery. So if anyone lost signal they did not notice this? So far I question if this affects other apps as Autopilot claims.
DJI will have direct access to the software on the drone, where third party software will have to use their public API.A question: why only third party apps are affected? Does DJI use special API?
This issue will affect all third party apps and will bring DJI App on top.
Good to know. Thanks for that report.I just used Lichie in a flight that lost signal for three minutes and it flew the entire mission with no problems.
Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots mobile app
Stick to DJI GO and you will be fine!!!
I have to agree here. Using 3rd party apps is only asking for problems. This thread is a glaring example of that.
That's how monopolies are started and innovation is stifled. DJI have a dedicated API that is created for the sole purpose of third parties.I have to agree here. Using 3rd party apps is only asking for problems. This thread is a glaring example of that.
That's a bollocks statement. I only use Litchi and have not had one single issue, like thousands of others.I have to agree here. Using 3rd party apps is only asking for problems. This thread is a glaring example of that.
