Compass Replacement - Still no compass sensor values

It's much more likely that your compass is disconnected than faulty.
It's very common for one of the fine wires to be broken fitting them behind the antenna where it clips into the leg.
Either that or it's not connected at the mainboard.

Thought I would give an update.

You were pretty much spot on, turned out one of the pins inside the connector on the board had bent and was subsequently crimped when I pushed the compass back in.

Straightened out the wire, reconnected and bingo!
