Better a phantom, at least is not heavy. Those machines hand made are less safe than our phantom and much heavier
Roped or not, if the MR is in motion and fails, inertia will continue to carry it in the direction its travelling.Should have been to the side of the course, in a roped off area.....just sayin'
Because are hand solderer by people that may know how to do that or may don't. And the wires are not covered so in these climatic conditions are exposed to everything.Why are they less safe?
The sad bit is that apparently even mucho expensive, top flight UAVs are having problems with rapid power loss. That thing came straight down, had virtually no horizontal velocity. Unless it was just overhead and the operator was turning rapidly and managed a vortex ring state, it looks like he had a massive power failure. In fact, if it had done that, I would expect some radial velocity to be apparent.
