Changing P3S maximum height without camera and accessing flight log

stuka - we do have some AR Parrots that they started out with but wanted the students to get used to a hand held transmitter with joysticks similar to what they will have in the exam. Plus the ARs parrots don't handle breezes too well. Not a bad idea though. Do you know off hand of any drones with stand alone controls that can be flown in moderate breezes? Thanks

Meta4 - Have been removing the cameras as a means to prevent damage more than a teaching aid. This is the first time we have run the course and got off to a late start so pushing it to get the students 5 hours flight time in before the test. Hence the battery issue. Next year we will run the course over a longer period so will get more flight time including use of apps etc. and will not need to push the batteries so hard. We now have 2 out of 4 drones with busted cameras. We can still (and do) fly them but can't use the app. Our main concern next year is the fact we will be running a multimedia course using the drones and we need the cameras for that so can't afford to have cameras out of action. Camera removal is one option although Tevek mentioned a cage device that seems promising.

Aerial cameras and gimbals are delicate.
There's no way around that.
If the problem is crashing causing damage to cameras, it might be worth reviewing the causes of crashing.
Generally if there's nothing to hit, it's hard to get into trouble.
But flying with obstacles close by is risky.
Training flights should be somewhere that will allow a trainee to make mistakes without a fence, tree or building (or the ground) spoiling the fun.

Would it be appropriate to do the flight training in the middle of a large open area like a playing field rather than a fenced tennis court?

Meta4 - Totally agree. Unfortunately we have no ovals on site and our leased ovals are within the limits of the Brisbane Airport no fly zone. Other possible venues are simply too far away to be viable options. The students are doing this course after hours so we only get small windows of time in the morning and afternoon. There is talk of the Brisbane City council establishing drone flying areas but that has yet to happen.
