Can't solder in new motor (urgent

Hello. I'm wiring in a new motor on my phantom 3. My question is I can't tin the wires on the phantom. Meaning I can't get the solder to stick. I'm using rosin core lead solder. The wires from the motor tinned just fine. What could I be doing wrong?

The wires have a very 'aggressive' insulator on them to protect the coils it's wound into. You'll need to treat the ends with Emory cloth, sandpaper, file, etc.

Flux is the way to go here. I never used it back when i started tinkering. Now i'm a flux junkie.

Yes, we don't recommend soldering without flux or a flux core. It allows for the solder to bead cleaner (easier to control) and allows for a cleaner and stronger joint.

Did y'all miss that?

Think about what keeps the motor coils from shorting out.

Just cause you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.

It will require more than flux.

Thank you all for the help. Sanding the wires removed the clear insulation and allowed the solder to stick. Got it all back together and it works great.
