The Phantoms are very good for beginners.Hello all, I am a newbie regarding drones. Can anyone recommend me some good drone for beginners?
Any of the DJI drones listed here would be a great choice for a beginner. They are all easy to fly and even a beginner will be able to safely fly them when in a wide open location that has no nearby obstacles. Can anyone recommend me some good drone for beginners?
Same here with my X5SW, I still fly it at times and try stuff I would never risk with my P4, It's still a fun drone to fly, when friends or familly ask to try my P4 I tell them to try the Syma first and if they can fly it I will consider letting them try the P4, little do they know it's harder then a P4 ( I don't really want to lend my P4)I'm with Mark the Droner, Syma is a great one to start on. It will teach all the manual controls and how to fly which will make a Phantom (which is an investment!) seem dirt simple to fly. The Syma will teach you to be a great pilot with a small investment. The first three months I had mine I flew in the living room to get the hang of it!
I started with an x5sw and I lost count how many times it landed in a tree, a bush, the field behind the house. If it got out of control, I lost my bearings, etc I'd just drop it out of the sky. Over 100+ flights the only parts I ever changed were landing gear. They worked but two were cracked and I changed colors for a different look. The camera sucks, you CANNOT fly FPV due to delay and quality, but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed.
Watch them and you can find them for $35-$40 on sale from Amazon. I'm about to hand my down to my 9 year old son who has now mastered driving his Traxxas RC truck.
