I have 3 grand worth of receipts and and bookings on hold that says that this is more than a hobby. I invested in this system as a means to help earn a living, it's another bit of gear in my kit that I use to do my job.
I suppose the carpenter who spends 10 grand on a bunch of woodworking tools that don't work should just get over himself rather than complaining to DeWalt in hopes of a fix, because being able to build a birdhouse with it makes it a hobby?
May all your children be born naked. *HEX*HEX*
The Phantom is in fact a hobby machine. If you are going to make a professional living at it I suggest you move up to a professional machine that will do what you need with ease. These days you can get birds with great payload capacity and 40 minutes of flight time. In other words, don't enter the Indy 500 in an escort, use an Indy car for better results.

LuvMyTJ said:If you look at the DJI web site it shows the Phantom line under the tab "For Everyone" meaning the average hobbyist, and a tab "For Experts" for the more professional or demanding pilots. It is obvious that DJI makes multiple platforms for different purposes. There is no 'one size fits all'.
d4ddyo said:exactly... "For Everyone"... including regular consumers who have NO idea. Especially the entry level FC40 and Vision+... why they linked it to Multi-media. Everyone is regular consumers, hobbyists, and professionals.
None the less the market is to anyone and basically consumers... not necessarily hobbyists.

If you want to debate Chinese culture, what you think you know about engineering, the 25 different ways you hate DJI or other completely useless time-wasting topics, please do so in another thread.

This thread was specifically set up to coordinate the beta testing through passing on instructions, gathering of data and ideas needed to aid in finding a technical solution. I suspect DJI would be a lot more likely to read this thread regularly and interact with us if the thread kept to the facts and the goal of advancing the solution.

We can read, however, the importance is not important anymore. The beta testing is done. No instructions. No more data collection. No more ideas. The technical solution is found. They never read this... or if they did they'd didn't care.
How do you propose we use this thread to keep it about our goal of "advancing the solution."? We are all open to your suggestions.

My suggestion...
After the official release there will be a brief period where all of us are "release testers". We should report any behaviors that weren't expected (good or bad). This thread could evolve to this, or it could be a new thread. If we all keep focused on understanding what we get, we would all benefit from what each other learn.
The type of combative response you have posted is unwanted here and part of the problem. If you do not have productive content to add, to this thread, or any other for that matter, your better off not adding anything at all.d4ddyo said:That's obvious. I am using your words and asking Advancing the solution. nothing is advancing.
