Yep know what you mean about the smell I try to make it as smelly as possible just to let people know what they are missing, can't beat smoking ya food with a smoker box, works ggggrrrreetttttttt

Ceramic yes, but not an Egg. Mine is a Primo XL, it's the same concept though. I love it!
