Advantage over OEM antennae 2dBi

Would there be any advantage in installing Dual Band 2dBi Antennae over the stock OEM P2V+ TX antennae?

No.The db gain is too small for any distances.

The higher the db, the higher the gain (power) of the antenna. Here is a visual of this example:

The 3 db will work, but it's range is limited. Lower gain (db) wider area coverage, but less distance. Higher gain (db) has longer distance ability but tighter focused beam.

Interesting... I just did the TP-Link Antenna Mods for RC Controller and wifi extender for my P2V+
I used the 7" antennas and I think they are 5 dbi. I am now experiencing RC Control drop outs when the Phantom is overhead or close to overhead. Wifi reception seems ok. Maybe I should go back to that little white OEM antenna.
