haven't used mu drone in a couple months, went to use it today , when I go to connect to the wifi on my phantom 3 standard drone it says internet may not be available, and it has always worked before , I am using a new phone its a galaxys8 Samsung

You do not need the internet to fly your drone. Wifi connects your RC to the AC, and the RC relays the wifi data and video to your mobile device/GoApp. Wifi yes, internet no. Not familiar with the G8, but most allow you to monitor and/or select which wifi device to connect to under settings or similar. Wifi should be connected only to the Phantom.
I know , but when I try to connect to the wifi on the drone it says no internet available and this never happened with my other phone
As stated earlier, that message is normal. Connecting to your drone is not at all related to connecting to the internet.
The Phantom 3 Standard connects to the DJI GO app on your mobile device via its own WiFi network. First power on your remote controller and Phantom 3 Standard. Then open your wi-fi connections in your phone. You should see a list of available networks. Connect your mobile device to the dedicated “PHANTOM 3_XXXXX” WiFi network, and open the DJI GO app. Further details can be found in the user manual.
The newer phones and operating systems are simply advising you that while you may be connected to a WiFi network, your phone does not have access through that Wifi network to the internet.

Some devices give the message that there is no internet access for a particular wifi connection. Some devices don’t. Your previous phone did not give the warning, but even so there was no internet connection when you were connected to your drone’s wifi. This question I think is the single most asked question from P3S owners, so by now I’ll bet you found the same answer in your research. Cheers!
