HMMM I do have that on my P34K could be why that dog was hanging around me when I was directly overhead. Good to know
LOL....Read the thread...it most certainly is NOT "normal". DJI is the only one with the whistle. Change the motor and the whistle is gone. How do you say the whistle is "normal" then?Mine does the exact same thing and it is definitely normal.
Didn't read the thread, didja???? The fix is (in my case) a bad motor. I've already proved it. You like that annoying sound then feel free to continue and thinking nothing is wrong. There is no fix due to no problem in existance
I agree with all of this except the bearing removal if your mechanically challenged then I agree with that alsoIt's a fact that some RC motor bearings are noisier than others. It's possible that DJI motors are on average more on the noisy side, but unless a motor is really screaming or getting hot or difficult to turn, it does NOT mean that failure is imminent. A bit annoying, yes, but nothing more. My approach is that unless something is obviously wrong (as in one motor behaving differently than the others), there is not need to act. And if I have to act, my first action would be a drop of oil. Failing that, I'd replace the motor (as said, I believe replacing the bearing in the new P3S motors is quite a challenge).

that was on the 2312 old motor the new 2312A doesn't have the shaft the prop screws direct into the threads cut into the top bellFrom everything I read, 2312A motors require a press to be opened, as you basically have to push the shaft out of the bell, as in the photo below:

Anyways, I absolutely agree with you: if you can/want to open the motor, that's of course a possibility. Put good quality bearings in it and it will probably last forever.
When I brought to drone nerds and they checked it out and everything was fine. I have over 300 flights and not 1 problem with mine and it makes the whistle noise. It has been doing for well over a year. I know 7 people with the same p3s and they all make the same noise. So yeah its normal in my book.LOL....Read the thread...it most certainly is NOT "normal".
