Viewing IPad in Direct Sunlight

Has anyone used polarized sunglasses or passive 3D glasses to see your iPad in direct sunlight? I read on this site about using the glasses, http://www.imore.com/ipad-direct-sunlight

Let me know what you think. I will try the 3D glasses tomorrow to see if that helps.

My polarized sunglasses can't see my iPhone FPV in the sun, so I have to wear my regular glasses when I fly my Phantom, sunny or not. Is it the same with the iPad?
