UPS Gets FAA Nod for Widespread Drone Deliveries
UPS received first-of-its-kind federal approval to start setting up a fleet of unmanned aircraft to deliver health supplies and eventually consumer packages potentially throughout the U.S.
Puts a new spin on air mailAccording to my UPS driver, they'll be fully automated so all he has to do is set the drone in its cradle on the truck and stick the package in its basket. The drone will deliver that package while he's delivering another, then meet him down the road for recovery. Sounds simple enough.
Haha dude your kidding right? The point of a drone is it being robotic. They would only be helpful if they where automated.I was wondering if ups is going to hire 107 pilots.
