The risk would have been obvious to me. I would not have put myself in that crowd with a 1k drone even if I was being paid. Boys will be boys?
Sorry, some people are just plain nasty. I trust they found out who this was and he or she will pay for the repairs.

If it is your job you do it because, it’s your job. You would also insure ALL your job equipment, of course.
If the pilot was filming for the occasion, then surely the "fan" should be liable for criminal damage?
Flying like that in a crowd is crazy but the person "tossing the tissue" only added to the problems.
Hopefully they were found and somehow cited for SOMETHING for such an act of destruction. Granted it was a lucky hit and IMHO if you're close enough to someone where a roll of toilet tissue can hit it you're too close to people to begin with.
At the end of the day 2 wrong still don't make a right though.
