Side Mounting FPV (DJI Datalink) on Phantom 2

Before mounting this I wanted to check to see if anyone has had an issue mounting their FPV on the side. I assume because of the 4 rotors it shouldn't make a difference and the Phantom 2 will compensate for this weight?

I have mine mounted on the side. Not as pronounced as yours, but it does come out of the side versus the rear. I haven't noticed any differences in controling the Phantom. I did it mainly for a clearer signal. It seems to have slightly better reception versus coming out from the back.

maybe i'll move it as far back to the heli as I can and give it a try. Thank you!
