Remote not pairing

I have a phantom 3 standard and I have to manually paid the remote each time by pushing the red button on bottom and waiting for it to find the remote. Is this normal or is there a way to fix this? All my other DJI drones pair automatically.

What happens when you use app linking,does it confirm frequency and start beeping till you press link button,this should save it ??

I have to put it in pairing mode on my phone which is paired with the remote and then press the red bottom on button of the drone. It starts beeping then and connects and works fine

Pairing mode on phone,this bit confusing,,your wifi is turned on ay, once you power remote and drone on go into your wifi networks and see if it finds the phantom if so click on it and it should conect,the drone and remote create their own wifi signal which your phone should pick up on

Yes the phone pairs via WiFi fine on the phone but in the drone settings on the phone I have to tell the remote to go into pairing mode every time
