Essentially every 3dB represents a doubling of the power.
This does not mean twice the 'range'.
Note that the spec lists it as EIRP (equivalent isotropic radiated power). This is essentially conducted power MINUS cable and connector losses PLUS antenna gain. Google it if you'd like to know more details.
So IMO what they're saying is they have 3dB gain in the OEM antenna while most of the aftermarket antennas folks applied to previous Phantoms (helical, patch) can have 12 or more dBi gain.
Wonder if it will include a mini hdmi connector?
Thanks for the update!!It won't already confirmed by DJi staff in another forum. They also confirmed like the P3 an HDMI accessory board will be available later that can be installed in place of the existing board.
Thank you. I got confused between the different figures, and have corrected them. It's actually 20%, not 30%. Still, it's a significant reduction at long distance, if the video range performs more like the W323A P3P than the original W323 P3P. Hopefully, it is more like the original W323 P3P in video range. That looks to be around an 18% reduction.
